What is it
Paint correction is the machine-polishing process that removes the damaged top layer of clearcoat — the layer holding all the swirl marks, light scratches, water spots and oxidation.
What’s revealed underneath is the deep, reflective finish your car had on delivery day. On dark cars especially, the difference is dramatic — flat, hazy paint becomes a mirror.
Every correction at Sicarz starts with paint measurement and a test panel, so you see the achievable result before we commit to the full car.
Why your car needs it
The spider-web marks under sunlight — polished away, not hidden.
Corrected paint reflects like glass, especially on dark colours.
Mineral spots and etching levelled out of the clearcoat.
Chalky, faded panels brought back to true colour.
Correction first makes ceramic or PPF results dramatically better.
A fraction of respray cost — and it's your original factory paint.
How we work
Defined steps, documented work, quality-checked before handover — every single time.
Thickness measured, defects mapped panel by panel.
Wash, clay and iron removal — polishing needs a clean canvas.
One section corrected first so you approve the result.
Multi-stage compounding and polishing across the car.
Final finishing polish, then sealant or coating to lock it in.
Why here
Paint thickness gauged before any machine touches your car.
Compound, polish, refine — not a single-pass gloss-up.
Inspected under detailing lights where defects can't hide.
Branded polishing systems, correct pads for your paint type.

Questions
Yes, when measured and done by trained hands. We gauge paint thickness first and remove only the microns needed — that's the difference between correction and damage.
Correction removes existing swirls permanently. New ones only appear from improper washing — which is why we hand over care guidance, and why many owners pair correction with a coating.
Typically a couple of days depending on paint condition and the level of correction chosen. We confirm timeline after inspection.
It's the ideal pairing — coating locks in the corrected finish and makes it far easier to maintain.
